There is a leak of information that discloses analysis directly contrary to the testimony of leadership to Congress and to replies to ongoing press inquiries. Said information includes material related to methods and possibly linkable to sources. In addition, it creates a variety of problems with both allies and potential enemies alike. Regardless of the reasons for the failures, looking like the keystone cops or worse is not the outcome the American public expects from its military. People can blame it on leadership, philosophy, funding, whatever else they choose but, I am guessing most of the American public is more interested in seeing that it gets fixed sooner rather than later. These continual failings embolden bad actors to believe the price may not be as steep as it once was for challenging the United States.
