Point taken on mentioning the veneer design, whose air gap helps the wall

system drain. My thinking was to minimize any risk of peeling or future maintenance down the road. Since a solid masonry stain costs about the same as premium exterior paint but completely eliminates the risk of vapor trapping on the surface, it seems like the safest bet for a highly porous, absorbent front wall that gets full sun all day, thus avoiding any paint blistering and spalling issues.

You can also do a wash so the brick still shows thru. You see it alot on
