Both of those are part of the "Great Basin" so thinking this was one of...
those jeopardy questions where they were close but no cigar. The Great Basin is pretty huge actually covering most of Nevada, large sections of Utah, Idaho and oregon and a little of California,
PS OK, see where it is a collection of smaller basins however you score that, SL of course, I suppose badwater in Death Valley and lake Tahoe is a collection point too...
