New puppy hasn't caught one yet, but her predecessor was a serial

Rodent killer. She caught squirrels, rabbits, and a few rats who live in the culvert down the road and run up and down the fence line. She was a NIMBY dog. New puppy did corner a bird once. I rescued it from her. She's also cornered an opossum and a raccoon. But she hasn't tried to kill any of them. So, she may be trying to play. And that could get her hurt. ** Edited by Hokie CPA at 11/27/2024, 12:02:39 PM

The family dog's job is getting those backyard "killer" squirrels they hate

LOL. I can wake my dog up from a dead sleep just by saying squirrel.

Our lab mix killed multiple squirrels during her lifetime.
