Just playing devil's advocate, if control was important,

shouldn't the State be the only outlet selling marijuana? I don't think we ever get the real financial picture of the ABC business in Virginia. All of the stores, maned by all of those state employees, each with benefits and lifetime pensions. If it is truly profitable as reported, all of it could be replaced with a stroke of the legislative pen, with increased alcohol taxes and nothing would be lost. We let all of the gambling business go to WVa. and D.C., but we hang onto alcohol. Continues to be a head scratcher to me.
