And to answer your question...

...not many are NATOPs qualified to fly both. You have to renew your NATOPs qualifications yearly, and transitioning from F-18s to F35s probably takes at least 9 months in the RAG/FRS, so by the time you are NATOPS qualified in the F-35, your NATOPs qualification has probably expired in the F-18. Now there are probably a few guys who hold NATOPs qualifications in both aircraft at places like VX-5...
