I've heard good things about Jettie Rae's Oyster House. Charleston Chef and

I believe James Beard nominee chef Ashleigh Shanti involved. Shanti is originally from Va Beach and had been chef with Vivian Howard down in Kinston, NC. She's out on her own now and very highly thought of. Also, Can never go wrong with James Beard winner at Chai Pani. It is very good. My mother retired, and lived in Asheville for years, so I'm pretty familiar with local haunts.
