and your average Joe sports fan probably can't name a reigning boxing champion in any weight class. So can someone explain why boxing PPV still generates hundreds of millions? And it's still pretty darned unfair how little MMA fighters make relative to boxers. Connor McGregor will probably be the highest paid MMA fighter ever, and I bet his career earnings will be lower than one PPV event for Floyd Maywether.
