for being against poor people in debt. They know it is not legal, they know it won't stand up in court, they know it is a terrible economic decision and they know it will continue to explode the cost of college (meaning they will have control over the lives of even more people in the future and thus control more votes). But, it buys votes for the midterms and creates an attack add for the future. That folks is why we are in the mess we are in. Pols do anything to retain power for their party, no matter the consequences and the sheeple line up for more.
