He bought a restaurant in the Plains, VA "The Rail Stop Restaurant"

Never met him, but had a long talk about Duval and restaurants in general with someone who acted as a manager or who knows might have been the chef Duval bought it for. Duval bought the place to keep a chef McKee around and/or do him a favor and then finally sold the place to him a couple years later. The restaurant had been around a lot longer than that under the same name (which the site doesn't mention) and had fantastic breakfasts under a previous chef. (talking eggs, bacon, bisquits w/red eye gravy, endless coffee...) I want to say it was the Rail Stop Inn at one time but that was a while ago. Not really adding much other than the mention that Duval's farm was somewhere close around there, I've been around a few of those backroads, it's secluded. Really liked "The Apostle" the law dogs let the character finish the climatic revival before taking him in, Duval was very believable. ** Edited by `lag at 2/16/2026, 3:54:26 PM ** Edited by `lag at 2/16/2026, 4:04:43 PM
