I know I've posted this a few times, but head up to NYC a couple times...

a year on Amtrak. Catch it at BWI station which is a 20 min drive from my home and ~ 3 hour train ride, read, watch the scenery/anti-scenery go by, have my little duffle/backpack maybe a ten minute walk to my favorite hotel. museums, US Open Tennis, Rockettes, figure out something new to do each time. I can walk 20 blocks so perfect for me.

Big fan of AMTRAK! But the current version of the ACELA isn't worth it.

Yeah, the NE takes 3 hours for me to NYC, the Acela takes 2 1/2 ...

When I lived in CT, when I'd go to a VT game, it would be Amtrak to DC,

Amtrak is the only way to travel the NE Corridor. **
