Tris Speaker had 792 career doubles, ahead of #2 Pete Rose (746), #3 Stan Musial (725) and #4 Ty Cobb (723). TS, who played from 1907-1928, also had a bit fewer career AB’s than did Musial and Cobb and quite a bit fewer than did Rose.
