ding, ding, ding, correct!
Robeson County, NC, just across the border, was dry and its residents were eager to cross the SC border and procure their liquor. A gas station, souvenir shop, cocktail lounge and a motel were added in the 1950’s followed by fireworks sales in 1962. Since then, they have added restaurants, a go-kart track, restaurants, miniature golf and a host of other attractions.
