ding, ding, ding, correct!

Scotsmen won The Open every year from 1860-1889. Englishman John Ball won in 1890. The first winner from outside the UK was Frenchman Arnaud Massy in 1907. The first American winner was Jock Hutchinson in 1921. Only two Scotsmen, Sandy Lyle (1985) and Paul Lawrie (1999), have won The Open since 1920.
