ding, ding, ding, correct!

The highest winning score was +17 by Walter Hagen in 1919. In Hagen’s other US Open champtionship in 1914, he was +2. The best scores to par were -16 by Rory McElroy (2011) and Brooks Koepka (2017). To hear the contestants at this year’s event complain about the rough, it makes me wonder if they might challenge Hagen’s mark.
