Ever encounter a fuel line vapor lock in your fuel line. I was out & about

on Monday zipping around heavy on the accelerator in my '98 Ford Explorer in 101+ degree heat and the son-of-gun started stalling on me as I accelerated. Checking the temperature gauge, a "check engine light", fuel gauge, etc. as I drifted into 7/11. None of those were suspect. Fuel pump or filter?- no, I had them replaced a couple of years ago. I waited a few minutes and it started right up and I drove gingerly home suspecting the hot weather. Stumped, I went to AI . . . "Vapor Lock". Been driving like a top since. Never ever encountered that before.

Fuel pump heat can cause vapor locks. It’s common on boats

I've never knowingly encountered it, but have heard of it plenty of times.
