I used one pair of Saucony running shoes...really comfortable but...
...the uppers were made of a paper thin synthetic material and sustained damage from casual wear. It's the only shoe brand that I've ever had damage to the uppers from general use, but I would definitely buy another pair. Comfortable and supportive.
I've been a Brooks running shoe fan for 20 years, but I use running shoes from different brands (alternating shoes every other day) at any one time. In addition to Brooks, I've worn Saucony, Asics, New Balance (my preferred running shoes during the 90s), and probably another brand (who's name escapes me), but since buying my first pair of On Cloud running shoes, they are in a (semi) permanent rotation with Brooks. I have two pair of Brooks Beast (found a half-off closeout sale on those at the NEX...so I bought both...lol) and one pair of CloudFliers on the shelf as replacements for the shoes I'm currently using.
I'll probably rotate in a pair of Asics Gel-Kayanos with my On Clouds when I next purchase running shoes.
