most rhododendrun are hybridized. Small fact, rhododendrun is an invasive species in Ireland. In some places they have overtaken entire mountain tops. It's beautiful but love the Irish soil, apparently. mountain laurel loves moist but well drained soil while rhododendrun will grow it wetter soils.
