That I'm able to check. I'd think it's OK as no signs of mouse there, but

Lawn Tractor diagnosis help?
Late 80s Hokie 10/01/23 05:51 PM ET
In my limited small engine experience, if its got a carburetor then
HokieNoVA 10/02/23 02:08 AM ET
It absolutely is the carburetor
Happy Dog 10/02/23 07:52 AM ET
I second replacing, instead of cleaning carbs on small engines.
EDGEMAN 10/02/23 09:54 AM ET
You just posted that as an excuse to say "orifice", didn't you
Happy Dog 10/02/23 10:02 AM ET
In that case, buy a replacement carb, then spend the next year trying...
EDGEMAN 10/02/23 10:22 AM ET
Yep. I have to replace the carburetor in my snow blower every single year
HokieNoVA 10/02/23 08:51 AM ET

Happy Dog 10/02/23 09:51 AM ET

MP4VT2004 10/01/23 07:40 PM ET
Fuel pump is a definite yes.

Hope you did not overheat your engine.**
UsherDog2008 10/01/23 07:21 PM ET

chumley 10/01/23 07:03 PM ET
it's all ballbearings these days.**
BobG 10/01/23 07:02 PM ET
Ignition coil**

Muffler good? gotta have outake as much as intake? using only non-ethanol?
astrohokie 10/01/23 06:22 PM ET
It's run for 12+ years on partial ethanol, so unless that added up a LOT
Late 80s Hokie 10/01/23 06:36 PM ET
If you don't treat your gas, I would start with the carb
MAHokie69 10/02/23 08:37 AM ET
I bet it's the Johnson Rod...drink heavily and buy a Kubota...what about...
Major Kong 10/01/23 06:18 PM ET
If the fuel lines haven't been replaced, that's cheap insurance.**

How old is the gas?**
HokieDan95 10/01/23 05:57 PM ET
Fairly new actually. Have never run into an issue there before. Just
