I was outside grilling up some chicken for a family picnic tomorrow, and as
I was finishing up, I heard these sweet little "mews" behind the grill in the landscaping. This little cat/kitten has been around, and I've tried to feed it about 4 times, but it is sooo skittish, it always ran off. I guess the grilled chicken made it nuts, ha, I've never seen it this close to me. So I tapped on the glass door to my wife to let her know the cat was here, and she had a can of cat food and a spoon to fluff it ready to go. But when I brought it out and tried to present it, she backed off a good ways. But she didn't totally take off, and eventually she came back and started eating the canned food. Success! One stray cat will sleep well tonight.
