The "you do not want shingles" sentiment came up a lot

when vaccinations were more of a daily conversation topic. I will say the discussion here did prompt me to go get the singles vaccine. Which was WAY more complicated to get than it ever should have been. My insurance covers the shingles vaccine as a medical benefit, but not as a pharmacy benefit. But the only place you can get one is at a pharmacy...which files all their claims as a pharmacy claim and not a medical claim. Every doctor or urgent care I tried just told me to go to a pharmacy. There is one CVS in town that operates a minute clinic inside the store. I was finally able to get it there, but it took me probably three weeks to find/figure out that option.
