I keep thousands of digital files in the cloud or somewhere in a cardboard box on disks. On rare occasions a former client will have somebody contact me to purchase those image files, and it's always nice to be reminded that the building industry still respects creative ownership. A general contractor emailed me earlier about a church they built, and I shot, for an architecture firm. I'd never worked for that BC but did a boatload of shoots over 6-8 years for those architects. Right off the bat, I had no recollection of the shoot. The only way I found that I DID shoot it was from an invoice to the architects for that and three other churches on a peripheral hard drive. In May of 2014. I still don't remember the job. From 1984 to 2022 I shot for at least 300 clients and made tens of thousands of images for over a 1000 job sites. This one slipped thru the cracks.
