I'm not but I should extend empathy here...
...depending on where you live housing prices can be a bargain or just plain impossible. Long ago I made the difficult decision to stay in a low cost of living area instead of chasing the best jobs in high cost of living areas like Silicon Valley, Washington DC, Long Island, etc. No way of telling what could have been but I stayed in RVA and enjoy a 3500 sq ft home on a half an acre which appraises at a modest $400K. I chose to go with the current instead of swimming upstream.
