OK, maybe the coolest? OK, it was the fastest in the 60s...likewise, ridden on the Shinkansen from Aomori prefecture to Tokyo and the Tokaido line from Tokyo to Kyoto and back. That was a while back though, the 80's version of the Shinkansen that looked more like a jet plane nose. I think I've been on the TGV but can't really place it.
