...the early 90s Braves-Pirates rivalry earlier this evening, and my father in law looked up some information about the 1992 NLCS that stated Cox had called a team meeting before game 7 and encouraged his players to view that game like a 1-game "winner-take-all" series, with both teams coming in with a clean slate. Kind of spooky timing, as neither of us had any idea Bobby Cox had passed away today. RIP, Bobby. Jim Leyland, I'd sleep with one eye open...we talked about you a fair amount, too...
