It was pretty eerie to walk around where Hitler once did. Seeing the massive fireplace that Mussolini gifted him was pretty surreal. My advice is to take a day in not-too-distant Salzburg. Stroll through the old town, which is straight out of the 1600's. Tour the Stiegl Brewery on the other side of the river. Have dinner at Mozart's Geburtshaus (birthplace), which is now a phenomenal restaurant and winery.
