My daughter has fallen in love with trains

Her BF is in DC and family is in upstate NY. She is regularly taking the train up to DC and letting him drive around town and upstate NY for holidays. I guess the costs work out for one person with gas, parking and time.

It’s been some time since being on an Amtrak train… NE regional.

She doesn't look like Rebecca de Mornay, does she?

The train thing is happening...it will take time because it just got going.

Big fan of AMTRAK! But the current version of the ACELA isn't worth it.

Yeah, the NE takes 3 hours for me to NYC, the Acela takes 2 1/2 ...

When I lived in CT, when I'd go to a VT game, it would be Amtrak to DC,

Amtrak is the only way to travel the NE Corridor. **

I'm a Marriott guy so I end up at the Springhill Suites 37th St just west.
