Probably not worth $2k. I grew up and

Collected during this time period where the market was saturated with cards, thereby devaluing most collections from mid 80s to late 90s. Anything actually worth anything is either numbered, include material swathes, or is graded. Also assuming that the good cards of those set were probably taken out and kept separate already - meaning these are likely just commons. I am not an expert but have plenty of friends who are. That being said, if you pulled a Ken Griffey UD 89 RC out of there it’s be worth it for nostalgia alone - if not the value of the actual card.
