I was visiting USC-E for the weekend during my freshman year at VT and we went to the football game. This was in 1988...long before cell phones or even fancy video scoreboards. Back then, they announced scores for other games over the PA system. On that day, Clemson was playing at UVA. The PA announced: "We have an early score from Charlottesville. The University of Virginia 7, The Evil Empire 3." Don't worry, UVA ended up losing the game. But that was still the most amusing other game score I'd ever heard.
