like all comic book heros that you somehow vanquish but always come back, Lex Luthor for Superman and all the usual villians for Batman type stuff. got annoying. All the Roger Moore films tended to camp it up winking at the audience, that's basically a maneuver when the audience can no longer "suspend disbelief" and the whole thing becomes a comedy sketch. I mean, yeah, looking back all the earlier ones were campy but Sean Connery had an edge to him, Roger Moore did not... ,,,however loved #2 "For your eyes only" and agree with all the comments eg: "made after the extravagent Moonraker" where it got silly being in space and with the Jaws thing.. Loved Carole Bouquet, Sheena Easton singing the title song and a simple ending (not the big battle in the villains island hideout type stuff.) where he throws the decoder off the mountain and the Russian guys just smiles and puts his hand ou with an "oh well" gesture. agree with the "polish" comment.
