I was working as a State mine inspector in Russell and Buchanan County's...

from Honaker over to Oakwood. We were living in Adwolfe (not far from where I live now), my wife was an RN in the Detox ward at the State Hospital. I was the area supervisor and I got a call from the Compliance Manager out of Big Stone Gap to NOT go over the mountain to Blackford (Russell County between Rosedale and Honaker) where our area office was. Just work from home and contact the rest of my group inspectors to stay at home. I contacted the other 8 inspectors by phone or radio to stay put. Luckily they were all at home. We were also told to stay in on Tuesday too. My wife had to work at the hospital Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. She was actually supposed to be off from the 17th thru the 22nd but got called in because several other staff couldn't get in.
