The plan and the hope is that the money she made working a PT job for

5 or 6 months covers any discretionary spending. But my wife does occasionally get a text along the lines of "Would you be interested in sponsoring my dinner tonight" when she does go somewhere other than the on campus dining halls. And we did spring for a pretty good chunk of change for some School Bookstore merchandise. But no allowance.
