overseeing fescue/rye mix into Bermuda so I don't have a brown lawn 8 months of the year so most will be held in place by that tangle of vines that is Bermuda grass, but the bare spots will likely just get washed away... oh well, the seed was free (lawn service at my parents house left 2 5 lb bags of seed when they over seeded their lawn). 3 years into this effort...the Bermuda continues it's unrelenting march to take over the cool season areas and the cool season grasses are about 80% filled in where the Bermuda is king. Not bad given that 80% of the yard was crab grass and sand burrs when I bought the house.
