Athletes wear Nike for the endorsement money. New Balance was/is simply

a superior product over Nike. I switched at 32 from Nike to New Balance and would never go back to Nike. I would say, however, that recent New Balance 608 Cross Trainers are not holding up as good as the old ones use to. The stitching has come loose on last two pairs after they were converted to weekend mowing/painting shoes.
