Newt Training His Hop Vines

I actually used to do this. I had trellised a bunch of Cascade hop vines along my ranch house deck. They always mastered my one-story trellis system within weeks. So I'd have to improvise. That usually meant I'd have to set up my ladder on the peak ridge of the house and expand the trellis' jute twine tendrils up and onto our old VHF TV antenna. Harvesting the ripe hop cones later in the season was difficult, but I was a wee bit younger.
