4 Ky game wardens / several St. Troopers whom were staging to hit rhe Ohio river ; arrived 15 min prior to 1st contact ; diamond ring effect was exquisite just before totality , corona was huge & birds were freakin chattering, night lights were popping on , whole scene was surreal ; Jupiter & Venus were bright/ easy naked eye objects ; a flourescent red prominence was seen @ 6 oclock position , we all were blown away
