Go when there is a Braves game

Stay at the Omni by Truist Park (the Battery) and then UBER/drive places. For me downtown is fine for daytime with the kids but not so much at night. More fun activities away from downtown depending on what your family likes and what the weather is. Visiting the various "towns" like Roswell, Alpharetta, Woodstock, Marietta, Decatur have good food, drink and shopping. If outdoors is more your style then head farther north into the blue ridge direction. Lots of parks, hiking, waterfalls to see.
