Arcadia Bluffs all by itself will be better than the whole RTJ Golf Trail.

Now, I am biased because I'm a huge MacDonald/Raynor fan. The one course at Arcadia was totally designed in Raynor style. And the scenery will be better. Michigan really sux, but that area of Michigan where the golf is does not suck. Architecture-wise (which I always regard as the most important golf-ability factor) Arcadia is much better than anything in Alabama. But it's far from the most rewarding piece of golf architecture in the immediate area -- that would be Crystal Downs. I confess I have never played Arcadia or Crystal Downs, nor even played in Michigan. However, I'm a lifelong golf architecture nerd with a lot of contacts who HAVE played everything up there. And what I've said is the verdict amongst the general population in my circle.
