This committee decision is going to be interesting
I believe it was inferred that making a conference championship game, especially and SECCG, would not result in a penalty. Alabama is on their way to a blowout loss. We may see if this true. As if the Miami/ND decision isn't controversial enough. ** Edited by crazylane at 12/6/2025, 6:15:02 PM

I'm sorry, but there is risk to playing in a CG, and there should be.
You can't just mail it in. All results matter. Vandy would have loved to played in this game. ** Edited by Maroon Baboon at 12/6/2025, 6:24:43 PM

This is a great point
Why is it OK that a borderline playoff team like BYU or Alabama gets the ability to clinch a spot in the playoff with a win, but there’s no penalty for a loss? I’ve generally been bought into the notion that a team shouldn’t be penalized for losing in their conference championship game, but I’m not so sure.

I'm not saying it should or shouldn't
Vandy would like to be playing but I'm sure Ole Miss, Oklahoma, and A&M are fine where they are.

Yeah, the committee has to be squirming right about now.
And I know it is bad for the ACC is Duke wins, but could that put JMU in? I'd love to see that. Let the controversy rage!
