I kinda expected that side of the ball NOT to be a problem. I remember the coaching search when we hired Pry. At the time I thought the O was more in need of fixing than the D. So I was kinda hoping for a big time OC as the next HC. But I was totally cool with Pry because I thought he was a VT kinda guy and I thought the D wouldn't be a problem. Some at the time wanted Shane Beamer, but I was cooler on him because he had never been a coordinator. What I like about hiring someone with coordinator experience is that (I thought at the time) we wouldn't have to worry about at least one side of the ball. Well, perhaps I was wrong. And while the jury is still out, at least to date, Shane at USCe has outperformed Pry at VT. I realize there are other factors, and that Shane might not have been as successful here that he has been at Carolina, but still. All that being said, not giving up on Pry. He just didn't provide us with the quick turnaround we all wanted.

Hard pill for some of you to swallow. I see no light at the end of the tunnel. Until VT decides to play P5 football and Hire P5 head Coaches, it will be the same.....and get farther down in the ACC.
