Newsflash: There is no P5 anymore....
It's the P2 and then everybody else. TV contracts and NIL have solidified the future.

College football is not fun for me anymore. I don't need 3-4 months of games to see who is going to join Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State in the playoffs. Yeah, I know that injuries and a upset or 2 might change the picture slightly. In my opinion it hasn't been this bad since the 70s and they limited scholarships to keep Alabama, Ohio State and the likes from enrolling all the talent to keep other teams from having a chance.
I guess what made it more fun was that VT was relevant nationally in the early 2000s. During that period when we played an Alabama or Georgia we may not have been favored, but I didn't go into the game thinking we didn't have a chance. I know that a lot has changed, but I don't enjoy a completive environment where Georgia beats Oregon by 40+ points. I guess I better get used to it because whether we call it the P2 or as mentioned in other post, there are only 8-10 schools that really have a chance.

No, it’s Bama, tOSU, and Georgia. Then the rest of the SEC. BIG10 is mediocre without the buckeyes.

I have accepted this fact. Ya'll have been trying to tell me for years
I see it now. I get it. It's frustrating, but it's just the reality.
There's only about 6-8 teams (you could argue 12 or 15 after playoff expansion) that have a legitimate shot at CFP and natty. That's it.
It's like having the 6 corporations that run the world, but only in college football, and everything is ran, decided and won through them.
The two P2 conferences will poach what's left of the remaining "P5" teams and that will be the formality.

everyone else. The other schools just happen to be in conferences with them. Maybe 4 if LSU jumps back up there.

You know Brian Kellybis their coach? We know what he can do with a National Recruiting pool. 😂

point is, you'll still have at least 12 make it into CFP
when it's all said and done... but only about 6-8 (it's not just Bama, UGA, tOSU....teams like Clemson, LSU, Aburn, Florida... maybe a couple others will still have a chance despite previous recent years). But those are the only one's winning natty's for the foreseeable future.

catch the Big 3. Meaning they won't have a realistic chance to win it all just to make the playoff.

it won't be JUST Bama, UGA and tOSU for the next 20 years
I mean, some other SEC will win one lol. come on now. I think we both are saying the same thing tho.
