VT alumni don’t have the appetite to compete financially even with larger TV contracts. Just double down on basketball and play a regional schedule that includes the remains of the ACC and schools like WVu, Cincy, etc. NIL, big tv money, and the playoff has essentially killed any interest I had in college football beyond going to games once every few years and watching my alma mater. I’m only 31 so not even someone who was there for the glory days, it’s just not fun following it anymore.
