VT President Tim Sands turned SIXTY-SEVEN today. He & Whit need to go!

Tim Sands does not care about athletics since he has not removed Whit Babcock. Babcock has to go! There should be age limits for the VT leadership. The students are all young and senior ctiziens cannot relate to the experiences of the students due to the age gap. VT leadership should be forced to retire at age 65. VT is probably going to need a new basketball coach in the next couple of years and Babcok should not be allowed to make that decision. The Tech athletic department also might have to force the head coach to fire an incompetent defensive coordinator as early as next season so a strong President and Athletic Director are needed immediately.

My big issue with Sands is that he doesn't care about football.

Not the only job that needs age limits.**

Listening to Franklin, he may not have taken the job without Babcock**

I have a perception that Franklin has helped prolong Babcock's VT tenure.

Even with the new $$, athletics is <8% of VT's budget. Just sayin'...**

I would argue that the Flutie Effect does not appear on the annual F/S.
Flanker 03/26/26 07:43 PM ET
agree with much of what you have to say but NOT
lazarus1 03/26/26 05:40 PM ET
Incompetant? No. But PSU's D's were as good or better after he left.**
marcbvtgm 03/26/26 06:26 PM ET
agree on all but Franklin's last year

We'll see.
Flanker 03/26/26 05:56 PM ET
actually he was 'co-D.C.' at Vanderbilt
lazarus1 03/26/26 10:23 PM ET
Good catch! He was elevated to co-DC but he wasn't the playcaller.
