Watched the GT game again and was struck at the differences in talent level between Drones and the GT QB. Unfortunately that is a theme that seems to be playing out pretty much every single game. Drones was billed as a mobile QB, however I'm not really that impressed with his mobility. When I see him run, he looks like a fullback playing QB. His arm strength is average, but not above average, however given the number of QB's with weak arm strength we've had , sadly its an improvement. Despite being a 5th year senior, he is still a mediocre passer, and don't think he'll get any better. There were a ton of passes that were just poorly thrown and that can't be blamed on the receivers, some resulting in interceptions. Is Pop Watson that much of a step down that we can't go to him? What little I've seen of him suggests he has a much higher athleticism and ceiling than Drones. At this point, looks like a guaranteed losing season if we continue to go with Drones.
