Too close to home? Re: Chris Cole

Was looking at recruiting and noticed Chris Cole is fairly close to Blacksburg. While every recruit is going to be different, I'm wondering if there's such a thing as too close? College is a time to go spread your wings and experience life. Sometimes there's a freedom between 40 min away and 4 hours away. Are more sought after recruits sold on leaving "home" (VT's big selling point) and experiencing something different?
