No matter how they made their money

These things are true. NIL has opened the door for the very rich, usually billionaires, to legally give insane amounts of money. All the while benefiting from tax write-offs and feeding their huge egos as they are heros to dear ole U. For the most part these people weren't interested in handing over these huge amounts anonymously under the table. Money always talked. The traditional powers, mostly SEC, have been joined by others at the top of the feeding trough. In the past it was conference revenue and brown paper bags of cash.
