Great, an amateur psychologist. Unfortunately, not a amateur logician.

He shared his narrative to the board as a whole. Not just me. So the use of "us" rather than "I" in that response was proper. I can think for myself. I can't speak to whether others can or can not think for themselves (thus "maybe some...").
