Don't be amazed...

Similar to Miami, FSU has been recruiting with the elite for decades, despite being in the backseat to other conferences revenue wise. There's no "sky-is-falling" reason for a program like FSU to be freaking out the way they are. Conversely, look at how many schools in the B1G and SEC out revenue FSU and don't come close to matching their recruiting chops, never have, and never will. Over the last 30 years, you could probably point to 1 school, Oregon, that has moved into the ranks of an elite program borne out on the recruiting trail. It's the same cast of characters decade in and decade out. Sure things could change, anything could happen, but its far from unreasonable to expect more of the same.

Big 12 courting Florida State?
Hokie1992 07/11/24 06:35 AM ET
Supposedly SEC and Big10 are not interested in FSU/Clemson
40ozDistrict 07/11/24 11:10 AM ET
They can't go anywhere right now that's why **
HokiesACC2004 07/12/24 01:39 AM ET
I don't believe a word of the above statement, it is "fake news" !**
FLKEYSHOKIE 07/11/24 09:25 PM ET
Why would the Commissioner of either P2 conference tell a CFB "Insider"
tallahasseehokie 07/11/24 08:17 PM ET
I agree....
2hhoop3 07/11/24 08:28 PM ET
Lotta things to consider from a legal perspective though……
RJHokie 07/11/24 08:43 PM ET
That could be true........
2hhoop3 07/11/24 08:55 PM ET
Isn’t the GOR at the core of that discussion?
Hokie1992 07/12/24 10:09 PM ET
I think they can go........
2hhoop3 07/12/24 10:21 PM ET
My take is….

Thanks........

Is that the opposite of the way it works in marriage?
Hokie1992 07/13/24 07:45 AM ET
One minor point......
2hhoop3 07/13/24 09:55 AM ET
nothing for them to discuss until a path out of acc appears.**
wwhokie1 07/11/24 06:31 PM ET
Why on earth would ESPN want F$U and CU to migrate from the ACC to B12?
Marooned 07/11/24 06:21 PM ET
Agree, the B12 would be a lesser conference in "all aspects" as compared
FLKEYSHOKIE 07/11/24 09:39 PM ET
How is the B12 more appealing than the ACC?
Techsupport 07/11/24 02:03 PM ET
Easier path to playoff?**

Already easy path in ACC.**

I think you have to ask yourself who leaked this.........
2hhoop3 07/11/24 03:06 PM ET
FSU did not sue to leave for the 12
tallahasseehokie 07/11/24 05:20 PM ET
The real questions are......
2hhoop3 07/11/24 05:34 PM ET
I personally agree.**
40ozDistrict 07/11/24 02:47 PM ET
agree, FSU and Clemson sorta boxed themselves in

FSU/Clem don't even NEED SEC money...they recruit top 10 today.**

But it's not about today. It's about tomorrow. 2030, 2040 and beyond.

Would you still feel that way if adding WVU to the conference meant VT

What? There is no orange uniform to make me happy. I’m guessing a backstor**

I was happy the WVU was left out of the ACC many moons back
Hokie1992 07/11/24 11:39 AM ET
VT's best chance of going P2 is if ACC falls apart. Why prolong it?
marcbvtgm 07/12/24 01:44 PM ET
the battle to be a P3 or P4 is over and P2 has won.**
