appears to have been legitimately seriously injured multiple times. To me that’s what the spirit of extra eligibility is supposed to be. Not “I played football at a lower level for three years” or “I went pro early and it didn’t work out” or “I didn’t play much one season and in hindsight I had the flu”. Not that any of it matters because it seems like any excuse is good enough these days.
