Strengths. I have seen him run an RPO where he threw it to Jalen Lane entire execution was perfect an it went for big yards! Can he do that consistently? How is he in terms of accuracy on 6-15 yard quick one read throws? It seems to me that he struggles when asked to stay in pocket and progress through various receiver options? Seems to me he might need to have one primary read and a one safety valve option - short dump off to TE or RB that will get 4 yds+ so you don't end up in 3rd and long. Anything more and he seems to freeze up hold ball too long and either get sacked or throw it out of bounds. If he can execute them well I really like the idea of alot of RPO plays. One read which looks more open? Throw it or run! Can he execute quick short throws out of 3 step dropback? It seemed to me last year his drop on dropback play action was too deep?? Obviously one could use scheme and plays that worked in 2nd half of 2023 season. I sense that may not be enough as once defenses got more film on what we were doing, it was less effective and we may need to supplement with some more option that play to Drones strengths. Any idea what that may be? I have one theory that our slow starts were partly do to Drones QB trainer Whitcoff? SP trying to teach Drones to run nfl style offense and our staff trying to accommodate this run him less let him try more pass pro type of plays where he is asked to drop back go through progression of receivers 1-4 stay in pocket and the make throw to the right read. These plays end in disaster too often because Drone's is too slow going through progressions and our OL doesn't give him enough time to do so.
